: I'll put 50 credits on Lord McSweeney of Miphifa. They are all trying to jockey for position to get Emperor Hengist's seat when the old man finally conks out. They've probably let their guard down a bit, and their Lord is probably a bit vulnerable from third-party attacks 'cos he's busy fighting off *other* Imperial Lords who are vying for the Emperor's seat ;-)
