I would have thought that any reputable journal would publish an apology / correction in a later issue or add a footnote to the existing one. : : The only excuse here is that it's altering a genuine mistake, not editing something for political reasons. : The point is therefore kind of moot then, wouldn't you say? We're not altering opinions expressed...just a small factual error. It's nice that being online we have the ability to do that and keep the reporting as accurate as possible.
