Endaio is out in the boonies, on the western edge of civilization. It turned out to have a reasonable degree of law and order, so we didn't see much pirate activity on the way in. Nevertheless, if you arrive at the right time, you might get a good crop of pirates here since the police force is small.
Fortress Chekov on Edmonson's Haven is a fairly typical city for a frontier outdoor world. Policing consists of two men, three dogs and a surprisingly new Viper Mk.2, so they could do with help from bounty hunters. Talking to the sheriff, we found out that the orbital spaceport has a rather larger contingent of police who are pretty efficient at keeping the space close to Edmonson's Haven pretty safe. Bounty hunters are therefore best advised to hunt pirates down further out.
